Leaping Into A New Year

Written By Tana Yunker

The holidays are over, and we’re starting to get back to a steady pace here in Savannah Lakes Village. I have noticed fewer Christmas lights glowing on our evening golf cart rides, and though a bit sad to see, it's also encouraging to know the new year has arrived. A fresh start brings all the opportunities to take in the beauty and be grateful we’ve made this our home.
The mild winter temps are perfect for outside activity, making it easy to fill the days with walking, hiking, golf, and tennis. We’ve been exploring new trails offering winter views of Lake Thurmond and the local state parks. Our son recently visited from up north and joined us on a hike. Though he loves the Michigan winter and snowboarding, he couldn't help but admit how great it was to hike the trail ....in a T-shirt and sunglasses ….in January! A beautiful day on a 6-mile loop with spectacular views as far as the eye could see. Hiking in a T-shirt and sunglasses in January? Yes please!

As a fairly new homeowner in SLV, it reminds me just how fortunate Jim and I are to have found RE/MAX Leisurely Living on our search to move south. After that initial phone conversation with Tom Greene, a realtor with their office, one of the biggest takeaways that later sent us packing from MI to SC, was knowing the RE/MAX agents lived and worked in the community. This held a significant amount of weight in our decision-making. Creating a degree of comfort as we considered a move from everything we knew to begin our next chapter. It was reassuring to see they loved SLV enough to make it their home.

The agents at RE/MAX Leisurely Living are your neighbors and mine. They have planted roots here and genuinely want others to do the same. They know the area, the market, the amenities, and a plethora of additional information regarding Savannah Lakes Village. Why? Because they live here, work here, volunteer here, and stay involved in the community. From fitness instructors at the Rec Center to members of the Lions Club, you’re sure to see our agents in and around the neighborhood. Last year RE/MAX Leisurely Living added a second office. The new location is in Savannah Lakes Village, further deepening their commitment to the area and making it more convenient for clients to meet and discuss their real estate needs. Thinking about your next big move? It's a new year and this just might be the perfect time to put your plan into action. Trust your neighbors at RE/MAX Leisurely Living to help. They're just a phone call away.
