Cara Verrell (Owner, Broker-in-Charge) stays very busy running the RE/MAX office she started just over two years ago. Cara and her husband Russ (Owner, Agent) are experts on starting a business in McCormick County. Both know where the opportunities are for anyone who wants to relocate to our area. Russ recently helped our new friends relocate from New York to open the only barbershop in town!
Cara and Russ are dedicated members of the McCormick Lions Club and The Chamber of Commerce. They still find time to have fun and enjoy frequenting our local restaurants and boating on the lake whenever possible. Russ is our golf expert. He visited Savannah Lakes and played Monti a decade before he and Cara moved here and now that they live on the golf course, he plays the tournaments (and wins a few). Anything you want to know about golf at Savannah Lakes Village or Hickory Knob, Russ knows.
Tom is the top real estate agent in Savannah Lakes Village. When he and his wife Karen aren't busy helping people find their dream homes here, they are boating, biking, hiking or kayaking somewhere on beautiful Lake Thurmond. They know our region like the backs of their hands. Always working to build community, they are founders of the annual Blueway Festival and are both integral to the Outdoor Adventure Club and The Savannah Valley Trails. Karen teaches the toughest class at The Recreation Center--Fit and Strong. Check it out when you are here, and get ready to sweat!
Our team is growing! Last year, we hired an office manager, Janet Martin, who has been a tremendous asset to our operations. Janet hails from Atlanta, GA. She and her husband both still work and are slowly gearing down for full-time retirement here.
This year, we have two future agents in training: Kristin Tarnosky Ball and Shannon Stewart (our Marketing Director)! Both Kris and Shannon are second-generation Savannah Lakes Village residents. More about Kris and Shannon will be posted in a future blog post.
