Distinction and variety: the neighborhoods of Savannah Lakes Village

Written by Shannon Stewart

There are six distinct neighborhoods in Savannah Lakes Village. Your lifestyle and interests will determine which suits you best. A few questions to ask yourself: do I want to be on the golf course, on the lake, or in the woods? Do I want to get up and walk or jog the vast trail systems here, or do I want to ride my golf cart to the Recreation Center for a swim, fitness class, tennis, or pickleball? Do I prefer to have neighbors and block BBQ parties, or opt for a little more privacy? All of these situations are available here. Learn more about each neighborhood below:

Southwind-Gorgeous homes on deepwater lake properties (can add boat slip) blended with an abundance of peaceful, interior wooded lots. Southwind is closest to the bank, medical, gas station, and Village Store. Best proximity to Highway 378, shortest drive to Lincolnton, GA (veterinarian, dog groomer, hardware store, several great restaurants, and some great downtown shops).

Tara–Home to The River Grille clubhouse featuring a bar and restaurant with spectacular views. Built around one of Savannah Lakes Village's two world-class golf courses, a medley of golf lots, lake lots with boat slips, and interior lots. Golf cart ride to the Recreation Center. Very close to the bank, medical, gas station, and Village Store. Convenient to Lincolnton and Historic Downtown McCormick (home to several local restaurants, Food Lion grocery store, the farmers market, many local churches, the barbershop, two hair salons, and specialty shops).

Magnolia-Adjacent to Tara golf course and The River Grille clubhouse featuring a bar and restaurant. Scenic properties on the golf course or the lake (can add a boat slip). Interior wooded lots are also available. Home to the Recreation Center (walking distance for many). Proximity to Hickory Knob Resort State Park.

Shenandoah-Gorgeous lake lots (with the ability to add a boat slip), miles of neighborhood hiking trails, home of the Savannah Lakes Village community garden, a golf cart ride to The River Grille, Tara golf course, and The Recreation Center. Close to Hickory Knob Resort State Park. Borders trailheads to The Savannah Valley Rails to Trails walking trails.

Savannah Point–A peninsula with stately homes, vast lots, stunning lake views, manicured walking trails, and amazing wildlife. Optimal privacy. Borders trailheads to The Savannah Valley Rails to Trails walking trails. Savannah Point has one central boat dock. Each home on the peninsula can add a slip.

Monticello-Stately homes with views of Monticello (Monti) golf course blended with an array of lakefront homes, wooded interior lots, and miles of walking trails. Monti is widely recognized as one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Southeast. Home to Monti’s clubhouse featuring a bar and restaurant. All lake lots can add a boat slip. Monticello is close to Historic Downtown McCormick (home to several local restaurants, Food Lion grocery store, the farmers market, many local churches, the barbershop, two hair salons, and specialty shops), Baker Creek State Park, and The McCormick Country Club.
